Welcome to the Ridgeway Primary School & Nursery PTCA!


When your child joins the school, you automatically become part of the Parent, Teacher, Children Association (PTCA). We are all part of this amazing community; the PTCA is a fun, social way to meet other families and support your child’s school.

Our objectives are simple…

  • To positively build and enhance Ridgeway Primary School’s community.
  • To generate funds to support academic, physical and social learning. 

Making a difference

Money raised via the PTCA is ploughed back into the school and directly benefits our children.  Each year, around £30,000 is donated to a range of projects – from outdoor facilities and refurbishment works to books and even swimming hats!

School finances are tight; none of these projects would have been possible without the money raised by your PTCA. Your support really does make a difference.

Latest news and events!

Our events are at the heart of the school; they generate funds but more importantly unite the community in a fun, social way. Highlights include: our annual fireworks display, Winter Wonderland and the Summer Festival, plus a range of special events such as a biannual Circus, Quiz Night, Discos, Ladies Tea Together & Boys Breakfast Bash.

Your Committee & Class Reps...

Your elected committee meet monthly and are committed to driving activity to achieve our objectives. All classes have a PTCA Class rep who helps relay messages and organise parent support for events and other activities. We are accountable to you, so please do feedback and share ideas. 


Get involved, make a difference!

Volunteering for the PTCA is rewarding and fun. You will meet parents and teachers, learn new skills (or utilise existing ones), while having heaps of fun along the way! Involvement ranges from ad hoc tasks (that can take as little as 30mins) to more involved or formal committee roles. There is something for everyone.
